WLIX-LP (94.7 FM, "The Voice of Hope") is a low-power FM radio station broadcasting a Christian radio format. Licensed to Ridge, New York, USA, the station is currently owned by Pine Barrens Broadcasting. The radio station began in 2005 as RadioX, a modern/alternative rock radio station. The Federal Communications Commission issued a construction permit for the station on February 27, 2004. The station was assigned the WLIX-LP call sign on March 10, 2004, and received its license to cover on September 30, 2005. The radio station had about 60,000 listeners at its peak, but had trouble turning a profit. It was then sold to a local pastor in 2007, who converted it to a Christian format.
